ABSTRACT
Primary insomnias comprise psychophysiologic insomnia, sleep state misperception, inadequate sleep hygiene, and idiopathic insomnia. In contrast to other secondary insomnias, these have the insomnia itself as the core body of the diseases. I, here, will describe the clinical essence of these primary insomnias for the clinicians to get an insight of the diagnosis and the differential diagnosis.
